Some little irritations. The hotel is now part of a chain and feels as if it is. Some little things one takes for granted in a 4star hotel were missing: no stationery, a safe which did not work, a fridge which jammed, windows that could not be opened.
Top Tip
Bruges is a delight. Stay well away from the Market Square for dinner and seek out restaurants in less touristy areas.

We were disapointed with the room as there was no mirror in the bedroom, there was no shower curtain or screen in the bathroom, no trouser press or tea/coffee making facilities.
Top Tip
Bring good walking shoes to cope with the cobbles. Excellent selection of restaurants. Canal trip, city bus tour and horse and carriage ride all worth doing.

Delightful, helpful staff and very good rooms. Let's hope the imminent move to new management will not change the excellent ambience and service we enjoyed.

A lovely boutique hotel with character and ambiance. However, for a luxury hotel some bedroom furnishings felt a little tawdy e.g. dried blood stains on the curtains, stain on bed cover and rust on mirror.
Top Tip
Get a map of one way system to find hotel more easily. Consider also De Tuilerlen which overlooks De Orangerie and has better views
